Gradings Kyu Belts 2013

Teen and adult students of the Bancroft Martial Arts Club undergo a formal grading in Karate and Jiu-Jitsu.

The test, which lasts several hours, is conducted semi-annually. For the students, this is the culmination of anywhere from one year to four years of training. All students are tested and must demonstrate an appropriate skill level and understanding before they can pass the grading   …and move on to the next belt level in their training.

The event marking advancement to a new rank, along with presentation of obi, took place on June 20th. Maryann had studied martial arts 30 years ago and decided to train again…. we`re very happy that she is with us.
